In the second quarter of 2024, the top 5 music and podcasts apps on iOS in Russia exhibited diverse trends across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

VK Music: playlists & podcasts experienced a significant increase in revenue, peaking at approximately $122K in the final weeks of June. Downloads showed a steady climb, reaching around 34K in mid-June before settling at nearly 27K by the end of the month. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the 1.6M mark throughout the quarter.

Yandex Music, books & podcasts saw consistent revenue growth, with the highest weekly revenue of about $45K in mid-June. The app’s downloads peaked at approximately 98K in late May, and weekly active users increased steadily, reaching over 5.1M by the end of June.
